Today it is about Circuit City, who is firing their best-paid employees in order to replace them with lower paid ones. To improve the bottom line.
I do not know why this move was deemed appropriate for a company who pays out MILLIONS of dollars to it's top executives.
Now they are going to have to pay some high priced consultants to try and do damage control with their PR. What a bunch of assholes.
Here is the copy of the email I sent them today:
Dear Circuit City,
The service at your stores is already poor enough as it is. Firing your best paid, most senior employees to replace them with lower paid, newer, more clueless employees is a nasty policy that is bad for your business, bad for your workers, and will affect your bottom line. I am your prime demographic, Circuit City, and I am an enthusiast of gadgetry and technology and all the things you sell. I have spent money for the last time at your stores, and I will be vocal about this to all my friends and associates who are also in your target demographic.
Circuit City, please accept my invitation to burn in hell with your CEOs who are making more money than some countries' GNP.
Yours most sincerely,
zetta
