To The Person Googling From Utoledo.edu (Who. Just. Cannot. Let. It. Go.)

And everyone else who visits this blog by googling "Oregon Stupid Climbers". Please cease and desist. At the very least, read the original post, and notice that my argument is about LEGISLATING SAFETY, not whether or not the climbers lost on Mount Hood last week were negligent, stupid, wrong, or anything else. Do you get some sort of joy out of people being dead while you sit in front of your monitor in Ohio thinking they were stupid? If this is the case, I think that is a really shitty way to be. Just sayin'.
Statistically speaking, it could be argued that anyone who knowingly goes out driving in rush hour traffic is stupid. The mortality rate for that activity most certainly eclipses mountaineering even on a slow day.

s'okay, Zetta. Lots of people have opinions about activities they have never experienced or understand. I, for one, have thankfully never experienced Ohio, but I have deeply held beliefs about the stupidity of that state. I'm sure that the risk to my intelligence by visiting said state could be considerable but I certainly hope that if I get lost there, someone will send a search party, no matter what the cost, to bring me back home.
