I'm back, yall. I'm sadder, but I couldn't ignore my blog forever...or could I?
So I'll take a few baby steps before I start taking potshots at the president and certain restaurants.
I'm learning about walking all alone. About the kind of silence that I got from being with Loki, which is much different than the silence I have without her. I am learning that there are some people who really ought to be able to handle being there for me in an intense situation, but they can't. Which I think is total bullshit, by the way. I am also learning that I can accept a great deal of love and kindness from people I didn't realize would step up: my patients!
I learned again that there just are certain bars in Portland where people take their goddamned kids no matter what time of day or night it is. And those ankle biters will eat your french fries off the floor while daddy is outside talking on his cell phone for half an hour while his offspring is running amok unsupervised right there in the bar!
