Rack Attack Rules! (A Guest Post by the VBM)

While Zetta was out having a shopping debacle I was having just the opposite experience.

First, the back story. Two Saturdays ago I went up to Forest Park for a trail run. I parked at the Audubon Society and went on my merry way. While I was gone, some pestilent sneaking greasy toothless evil maggot-faced degenerate meth-addled mongoloid douche-bag of a fucktard broke into my truck (Mom - I’m sorry you had to read that). They mainly stole things that were of little value, but a pain to lose, including both sets of keys to my roof rack (yes I know both sets in the same place - bad idea - won’t happen again).

In my quest to make it so that A) I can use my rack and B) the above mentioned meth whores don’t have keys to my rack I set out to A) get the old locks out and B) get new ones. My first stop was the REI in the Pearl District. I had my usual quality shopping experience there but that’s one of those situations where it’s more about who you know than where you go (I’ve worked there off and on over the last few years). I had moderate success in solving the keyless rack dilemma – I managed to buy a key that would open some (but not all) of the locks so I could get them out and replace them. I was also advised to go over to a place call Rack Attack (http://www.rackattack.com/) and see what they could do for me. I went to said establishment and told them about my problem. They not only opened all my old locks, they traded me my old, speed freak compromised locks for new (to me) ones all keyed alike. So I ended up in even better shape than before the break in - all new locks with the same key. And the kind folks at Rack Attack did this all for free! So a big thank you to the folks at Rack Attack – if you need anything to do with racks (Thule or Yakima) go see them. And finally a big FUCK YOU to the slack jawed shitsacks who broke into my truck.

Oh ya and thanks to Zetta for letting me mooch her blog.

Ah yes, I have had experience with both the Rack Attack (- fine people there!) and with the said slack jawed meth ho's.

People really understand how friggin' compromised any meth addict's sense of appropriateness. Then again there those who aren't tweeking on meth who are dreadful beasts too.

Oh, I second the blog startup notions!
